About the Play of Basic ForcesThis is a featured page

Why we stand up, that is, opposite to gravity? Why plants grow up, that is, opposite to gravity? Why we or the animals feel love and hate? Have these something to do with the attractions and repulsions of electromagnetic forces? Why we develop ego, langauge, thought process? Have all these traits some connection to the main theme of confinement of the strong forces? Why we develop compassion or feel one with the whole world? Has this something to do with the almost unlimited range of the cariers of the likes of neutrinos of the weak forces? What propells our civilizational or cultural development? What is big bang, what caused it, how the force generated in the process seems to act against the second law of thermodynamics, that is, creates order with the passage of time rather than disorder or entropy which this law dictFundamental Interactionsates? What is dark matter and dark energy, what connection they have with their opposite counterparts? How matter/energy decouple and then form galaxies like our own with heavier nuclie?

The life, the matter, all, seem to obey the will of the four basic forces. This wiki tries to debate these and all other myriad questions, deciphering the universe in the process to the deepest level of an atom and even beyond.

The theory is new, it conceptualizes wide spectrum of issues covering cutting-edge cosmology, astronomy, biology, physics as well as our civilizational elements like religious and cultural pursuits and fits them all into a time-line of the proposed hierarchical cycles involving these four fundamental forces i.e. gravity, electromagnetic, strong and weak forces.

Things change overtime. Until recently the theories of Darwin and his followers collectively known as the theories of evolution were considered adequate enough to explain this change. But it is no longer the case. As man has gone deeper into things he has found these theories to be increasingly inadequate. We know today that the physicists have reduced all the numerous forces working in the universe to four basic ones of gravity, electromagnetism, strong and weak forces. Now, according to my theory, the universe gets wound up into these forces through weak, strong, electromagnetic and gravitational interactions in its devolutionary cycle and gets unwound from them in the reverse order in its evolutionary cycle. This going through eternal cycles of devolution and evolution, coupled with going through the above interactions further within them in the process, comprises the design and whole design of the universe or of its evolution and needless to say, devolution....For imagination sake, see a tree getting wound up into and unwound from its seed - at the end of the day again just a particular arrangmeent of four basic forces relevant to the level of this tree - in a complete cycle.

View the adjacent videos and things would be more clear. This theory tells that we don't need a 'super-being' or a 'designer' to make an intelligent design nor such ad-hoc evolutionary theories as 'natural selection for survival' to understand evolution which started way back at big-bang. The inherent forces which originated from the very beginning from big-bang are capable enough to evolve the non-living systems and then even living systems from them into beautiful dynamic patterns. Otherwise the question arises, then who designed the designer? Or continuing on the same note regarding the concept of survival, is survival-thing that important in evolution?May be these four forces explain better.

Let us sum up this theory in an other way, we humans are as much a product of the same simple laws of physics in the form of four basic interactions as minerals, plants, animals and in fact all the other entities in the universe are. Even more interesting is his proposal that all the process involving us i.e. behavioural, cultural, social, religious and scientific are the product of the same four basic forces or interactions.

To provide some details, we grow against gravity. And in intense gravitational phase we grow inflationary be it our universe in its first billion year or be it we ourselves in first few weeks. We keep growing later but comparatively slowly. We stop after attaining some specific height which is controlled by the gravity interaction relevant to us. At our earth's level, plant life witness the direct interaction of the gravitational field. The plants grow against gravity and many experiments have shown how they keep themselves straight up even if they are forced to bend. It is well established now that our tissues are the product of particular gravitational interaction. Different gravity produces different mass-space ratio. May be this explains the presence of huge animals prior to us, as well as colossal inter-plate movements on earth. For more elaboration visit The gravity interaction page.

According to the theory the mind or neural exchanges which produces ego, love, and hatred or to sum up feeling of attraction and repulsion are the product of electromagnetic interactions on the same hierarchy as do our size or growth owes to gravity. Aptly Mr Harbhajan Singh puts up in his book, "To discover them(electromagnetic interactions) a Newton would need to think why his mouth watered on seeing the apple instead of why the apple fell on his head." We know how electromagnetic interactions can change human moods or behaviour. For example the eye is a seat of a steady electric potential field that is quite unrelated to light stimulation. In fact, this field may be detected with the eye in total darkness and/or with the eyes closed. It can be described as a fixed dipole with positive pole at the cornea and negative pole at the retina. Similarly nearly everything living or non-living has some elctromegnetic range, intrinsic to its natural properties. Many experiments are being performed and could be found well documented available freely on the Internet. For more visit The electromagnetic interaction page

Third force i.e. the strong force has a smallest radius and binds elements in a nucleus. It is the most powerful force and most important so far as the origin, evolution and especially the evolution of peculiar human traits such as ego, language, thought process, need of communication, need of exchange of information etc of the species Man are concerned. Stephen Hawking writes somewhere, perhaps in his book "The Universe in a Nutshell," that strong force is essentially the force of confinement. It is interesting to note why he says so, and how far reaching, especially for Man are the implications of this fact. Now, strong force actually binds the sub-atomic particles in a nucleus called nucleons or hadrons. If it binds those particles there must be a force which tries to scatter them? And if there be one, obviously it will be that force which gets confined in the process of it trying to scatter nucleons from within and the strong force trying to bind them against it. And indeed it is. And, most importantly, it is the same force which began the universe with big bang, causes its evolution right from within the universe itself down to every other system, including humans and down even to an atom. The same force, becoming the lot of a molecule at a molecule's level, first breaks the molecule from within and in the process causes gravitational interaction with the matter of the molecule. In the process, it splits the molecule into atoms. Now the same force acts from within the atoms and in the process attracts other atoms while their bodies repell each other, thus giving birth to electromegnetic force or interaction between them. Then the same force goes further deeper into each atom, into the nucleus and tries to scatter the nucleons present there, while the nuclons try to remain bound with each other because of the strong attractive force between them. This gives birth to the strong interaction. The interesting thing is that this is the same force which is called the force of kundlini or even soul in man in religious cirlces and reaching the human levels it has really transfomred itself enough to make the humans feel confinement between their own bodies. And it is to offset this basic confinement that homo sapiens developed all the above mentioned special traits.

Until now these interactions are studied at atomic levels or on the larger scale in formation of nuclei in galaxies but its more observable part in our day to day activity has not come under study. This theory heightens the need to undertake the experiments to simulate the atomic strong force model on elements which produced homosapeins in the cycle of species, settled man within the cycle of cave man, nomadic man and settled man of species Man, ultimately nucleus-like settlements, villages, cities, towns, states, countires.

Lastly the weak force or the force of disintegration or decay or death in local parlance.

What to do?

Many experiments are being performed to gauge the effects of these forces at various levels. Here at this Wiki about the play of forces - A Scientific project, all are invited to discuss and add-on a collective synthesis on this theory. In the process give a critical analysis on the theory and discuss the various ongoing experiments and their outcomes.

This Wiki is intended for readers with the science background. Become a member and part of this project, flaunt here with your ideas on this theory as well as track and post various experiments and news related to the interactions of these forces.

John D. Barrow, Templeton-prize winner author of "Theories of Everything" wrote in this book: " All the structures we see in the universe are the balancing acts between pairs of natural forces with the others playing an negligible role."

I wish to add to it in the words:" All the structures and all they do are the balancing acts between pairs of natural forces with no other to play any other, negligible or more part anywhere."

Ask if you have any questions regarding Barrow's and mine words and let me know if you have any criticism to offer regarding my words. I will try to answer your criticism.

Note: From pairs of natural forces he obviously meant four basic forces and their equal and opposite counterparts to make what physicists call interactions because they know that to every force there must be an equal and opposite force to keep the world in balance.
